Lemon Basil Oil Recipe
This recipe is delicious and so good for you! Lemon basil oil is the French version of pesto. It's also a cheaper version of pesto because you leave out the parmesan cheese and pine nuts. I think that lemon basil oil is excellent for so many things. I love to baste it on meats, as I grill them. It's wonderful on corn on the cob, as a salad dressing, drizzled over tomatoes, over potatoes, the list goes on and on.
Ingredients
- Fresh Basil leaves - 4 Cups
- Organic Olive oil - ¾ Cup
- Two lemons zested and juiced
- Pink salt - One teaspoon
- Black Pepper - ½ teaspoon
Instructions
Put all ingredients in Vitamix or blender and blend until smooth. Pour in glass jar and drizzle on everything! Will keep for seven days in Refrigerator.
